DR. TEJ PAVOOR

Tej Pavoor is a Partner at Delos Capital and is based in the Boston office. He works closely with our investment team in identifying and evaluating life sciences companies and building a strong operating network to support our portfolio. 

Prior to this, he was an Operating Partner at Flagship Pioneering where he was responsible for supporting various biotech companies with their strategy, financing, scientific and broader company build. As part of this, he supported Ring Therapeutics, Laronde, and Senda biosciences. He was Chief Operating Officer for Laronde and a Board Observer at Senda. Before Flagship, he spent about seven years at Moderna Therapeutics and was Senior Vice President responsible for the entire clinical portfolio in his last role. He also helped build their early preclinical and clinical manufacturing and helped take the company public. He joined Moderna from McKinsey & Company where he was an Engagement Manager in the biopharmaceutical practice in the New York office. He started his career in preclinical development of biologics at Merck & Co.

Tej has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA and his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India.
